The Problem

Sargassum accumulation in Puerto Rico alone costs the local economy over $780 million per year. Current responses haul it to a landfill. Every dollar spent produces nothing.

What we do

TideWrack units process beach-cast sargassum at the point of accumulation. We charge coastal stakeholders a per-ton tipping fee for removal - covering operating costs before a single pound of product is sold - and convert the biomass into arsenic-reduced, standardized intermediates for downstream buyers.

The units are containerized and relocatable. They follow accumulation rather than requiring biomass to come to them.

Sargassum is Version 1. The adaptive processing platform extends to invasive aquatic weeds, kelp, and agricultural residues.
